Thomas Morey - Northeast Illinois LEL
As one of the Northeast Region Law Enforcement Liaisons (LEL) Tom Morey coordinates with southern agencies of the region to help facilitate and pass on traffic safety information such as traffic safety training opportunities, DUI checkpoints, saturation patrols, and legal updates. He meets with grantees regularly to review the progress of their grants and discuss local traffic safety issues which include implementation of the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's traffic safety initiatives such as Click it or Ticket or Drunk Driving (Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over). Additionally, he helps provide information on the Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge, which is one of the state's primary traffic safety programs.
