As one of the the Northeast Region Law Enforcement Liaisons (LEL) Paul Rizzo coordinates with agencies in the central and east portion of the region. He facilitates and passes on traffic safety information such as traffic safety training opportunities, DUI checkpoints, saturation patrols, and legal updates.  He meets with grantees regularly to review the progress of their grants and discuss local traffic safety issues which include implementation of the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's traffic safety initiatives such as Click it or Ticket or Drunk Driving (Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over). Paul is also one of the Program Directors of the Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge. He coordinates the program and helps provide information on the Challenge, which is one of the state's primary traffic safety programs.
